Wow, this is the wierdest time of my life. I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to be a missionary forever and still go to school and love my family and work and play….

Church was so hard yesterday. We had the primary program and I was translating and just crying. I love the song:

There are children singing all around the world,
Happy voices ringing out the joyful word:
We are children glowing with the gospel light,
Standing tall, walking strong, choosing right.
There are children leading out in ev’ry land
Who believe in keeping all the Lord’s commands.
Like the stripling warriors, we go forth in faith,
For we know that the Lord is our strength.

Chorus

We are children holding hands around the world,
Like an army with the gospel flag unfurled.
We are led by His light,
And we love truth and right.
We are building the kingdom of God.

There are children sharing all around the world,
Leading other children to the gospel fold.
With the strength of youth, we do the Father’s work.
With our hearts and our hands we will serve.
We are cov’nant children with a gift to give.
We will teach the gospel by the way we live.
With each word and action, we will testify:
We believe, and we serve Jesus Christ.
Chorus

I just looked around at all the beautiful kids singing and realized I will NEVER get this opportunity again to serve with their faithful families the way that we have as missionaries. The greatest blessing on the mission is the love that you feel for the people whom you’ve served and with whom you’ve served. I love my name tag soooo much. It’s like my invincible badge. It gives me license to go into any house or any place I want and ask wierd questions and teach about the restoration. I love Jesus Christ and what he did for me and all those who are seeking him. I can’t wait to return to his presence and I hope I can say that I did my best to remind as many as I could what he has done for them. I love my heavenly father soo much. He won’t stop answering my prayers. I pray for miracles and they happen. He pays attention to the smallest details.

Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me;
but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple
things are great things brought to pass; and small
means in many instances doth confound the wise.

Alma 37:6

Each little prayer that we offer is part of a greater picture.

We had an amazing lesson with M and B last night. M has been a member all his life and lives with his girlfriend B. M has been less active for a few years. When we started sharing our purpose and telling B what it is that we do as missionaries. We asked M how the gospel has blessed his life. The spirit was so strong and he was so repentant. He told us through tears that he has a huge desire to have an eternal family. That’s what it all comes down to. Everybody wants that eternal family. And the gospel WILL help that goal, no matter the circumstances. Brother Feickert bore powerful testimony through tears as well. I love talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It brings out the purest parts of people. M seems really excited to keep having the missionaries over to teach his girlfriend. Their future is soo bright!

When I think about people with struggling family situations, I know think of this quote.

“Whatever the outcome and no matter how difficult your experiences,
you have the promise that you will not be denied the blessings of
eternal family relationships if you love the Lord, keep His commandments,
and just do the best you can.”
Dallin H. Oaks

The Lord is so merciful and he loves us!

I will tell you so much more when I get home! I hope you all have lots of wonderful experiences to share with me too!
See you saturday at 2:28!?

Heeeyyyyyyyy! Remember, mom, when you used to say that I shouldn’t say hey?! When I came on my mission it actually drove me crazy when my companions said it because I realized how unprofessional it sounds. As with “you guys.” Now I say ya’ll, which is even worse. Or “yous,” says paul….or “youins” say the [...]

When people sleep in and [...]
